The SPEEDWAY® SW 81200AC-AF is the walking foot version of the SW 81200AC carpet serging platform — and the walking foot is not a convenience feature here, it is what makes a whole category of work possible. On carpet with a rubber or foam backing, a plain-feed machine drags the top surface against a backing that will not slide. The result is shortened, bunched stitches and a perforated backing. A walking foot moves the top and the bottom together, so the material feeds uniformly and the backing survives.

Everything else is the same purpose-built carpet head: single needle, three threads, a 12 mm seam width, and capacity for material up to 12 mm thick. The thread is drawn to the edge of the material for the dense serged border that finished rugs and automotive mats are judged on, with a 3.5 to 7 mm stitch range to move between fine decorative work and production pace.

It keeps the inner turn capability too, so shaped automotive mats, oval bath mats, and rounded area rugs are serged in one continuous pass without stopping at every change of direction. Made in Taiwan to a premium specification, it ships complete on an industrial table and stand.
