The L variant of the SW-335 cylinder bed walking foot — extended hook capacity for shops running heavier thread on production-volume leather and saddle work.
Who runs this
Same audience as the SW-335 — leathercraft, footwear, saddle and tack shops, upholstery doing tubular work. The L variant adds large-bobbin hook capacity for shops running #138 bonded nylon at production volume.
If you're running standard #92 thread on smaller production runs, the base SW-335 is enough. If you're running heavy thread for visible decorative seams or saddle-grade construction, step up to the L.
Why the L large-bobbin variant
- Bobbin run length. Large bobbin holds significantly more thread than the standard 335. Fewer bobbin changes per shift = more sewing time.
- Heavy thread compatibility. Hook geometry tuned for #138 bonded nylon without clogging. Run visible decorative thread without thread breaks.
- Same cylinder + walking foot platform. Cylinder bed for tubular work, unison feed for thick leather. Everything that works on the SW-335 works on the L variant.

Saddle skirt
Three-layer saddle skirt construction with welt seam in #138 bonded nylon. Large bobbin clears the run without operator bobbin changes.
Boot shaft, heavy thread
