Description

3-needle feed-of-the-arm chainstitch — the specialty machine for jean inseams. Curved arm + differential feed + chainstitch elasticity, all tuned for closed-leg denim assembly.

Who runs this

Denim factories doing inseam construction on jeans and heavy workwear pants. The feed-of-arm configuration is purpose-built for curved tubular seams that flat machines can't reach.

If you're running outseams (straight, accessible), the SW-845 split-bar handles those. If you're running inseams (curved, tubular, has to wrap an arm), this is the machine.

Why feed-of-arm on inseams

  1. Curved arm fits the leg. The tubular leg slips over the cylindrical arm; operator rotates the leg around it. Flat-bed alternatives need the leg cut open and re-sewn after.
  2. Differential feed. Top and bottom feed dogs run at different speeds — handles ease and gathering on curved seams without operator manipulation.
  3. 3-needle chainstitch elasticity. Three parallel chainstitch rows. Stretches with the fabric (denim shrinks/expands through wash cycles); lockstitch alternatives crack.

Application examples

Jean inseam

Crotch-to-ankle inseam with felled-seam construction. Three parallel chainstitch rows; arm wraps the leg through the curve.

Workwear pant inseam

Heavy twill workwear inseam construction. Same feed-of-arm pattern as denim, with the elasticity needed for industrial laundry tolerance.

Coverall leg

Bib coverall pant section inseam. Tubular leg, curved seam line, elastic chainstitch — all the requirements.

What ships with it

Machine assembled with feed-of-arm cylinder, differential feed system, industrial table and stand.
