Three-needle cylinder-arm coverstitch — for sewing in the round on sleeves, pant legs, cuffs, and tubular sections that flatbed machines can't close.
Activewear and T-shirt manufacturers needing to coverstitch hems already closed into a tube — set-in sleeves, finished pant legs, cuffs, tubular socks. The cylinder bed lets the operator slip the tube over the arm and stitch around the inside.
Different from the flatbed SW 562 — the 562 sews flat panels before they're closed; the 662 sews after. Most apparel lines that run heavy knit production have both.
Set-in sleeve hems
T-shirt sleeve hems sewn after the sleeve is set into the body. Cylinder arm slips inside the sleeve; operator rotates the body around it.
Legging cuffs
Closed-leg activewear with finished ankle cuff. The cuff band attaches to the closed leg tube on the cylinder; flatbed can't reach.
Pant leg hems
Knit pant bottom hems sewn after the leg is closed at the inseam. Cylinder arm fits the leg; operator hems around the entire circumference in one pass.
Machine assembled with direct-drive electronic motor, UTE utility table, stand, and wheels.
